Executive Summary
Multiple cases of GlaxoSmithKline OTC products and Rx drugs were stolen Jan. 29 while being transported from a distributor to wholesalers in the Bayamon district of Puerto Rico, FDA and GSK say in a Feb. 24 release. Stolen consumer products include full cases of Tums antacid, Sensodyne toothpaste, Poligrip denture adhesive and Ecotrin aspirin. This is not the first time GSK was victimized. Thieves also stole a tractor trailer filled with OTC products from the firm last November and before that they stole two lots of Advair Diskus from a distribution facility last August. GSK and FDA are looking for the stolen products, and the manufacturer warns consumers not to use products with tampered or damaged packaging
