Executive Summary
TSI Health Sciences' joined the growing number of North American dietary supplement firms boosting their presence in Europe by opening its first European-based sales and marketing office in Rochdale, Lancashire, UK June 14. Adrian Lindridge, formerly of the consumer products firm SSL International, has been appointed sales director for Europe. Sabinsa opened an office in Germany recently, citing an "increasingly tight regulatory environment in the EU." Similarly, San Clemente, Calif.-based Metagenics acquired Belgian manufacturer Biodynamics in early June, noting that "the evolving EU regulatory system will increase the opportunities for cross-border sales and shipments of our products throughout Europe."
