Executive Summary
The U.S. Patriot Improvement & Reauthorization Act, which contains meth control provisions that will go into effect in mid April, was signed by President Bush March 9. Elements of the Combat Meth Act included in the bill require behind-the-counter sale of pseudoephedrine products by Sept. 30, and a sales limit of 3.6 g/day and 9 g/month of OTCs containing pseudoephedrine, ephedrine or phenylpropanolamine.
