Executive Summary
Bernadette Marriott, PhD, leaves the director position Jan. 8 to join Northern Arizona University as vice provost for research and graduate studies and dean of the graduate school, starting Feb. 1. Appointed as the first director of the NIH office in November 1995, Marriott will be succeeded by Deputy Director Rebecca Costello, PhD, who will serve as interim head until a permanent director is appointed. A search committee to be lead by NIH Associate Director for Disease Prevention William Harlan, MD, is being formed
