Both the United States Pharmacopeia and the European Pharmacopoeia Commission have announced that their respective pharmacopoeias have adopted revised monographs for heparin calcium and heparin sodium that are more closely aligned with each other. The Japanese Pharmacopoeia is currently reviewing a draft revision for heparin sodium.
