Executive Summary
EFPIA and PhRMA, the European and US pharma industry bodies, have published a set of data-sharing commitments that their members are to put in place from January 20141,2. But while the organizations claim the pledges outlined in their "Principles for Responsible Clinical Trial Data Sharing: Our Commitment to Patients and Researchers" will benefit patients and enhance public health and research and scientific knowledge, transparency campaigners were less than enthusiastic.
