Professor Ashraf Bayoumi has been appointed head of Egypt’s Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs, which is part of the Egyptian Drug Authority. Professor Bayoumi, who replaces Dr Samia Salah, is a professor of organic chemistry and formerly taught at the faculty of pharmacy at Azhar University in Cairo. Most recently he was a scientific consultant for CAPA.
