Reference pricing in Finland should reduce pharmaceutical prices by 10% and drug expenditure by 5%, claims a report from the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health1. The report estimates that reference pricing, introduced on 1 April, will save customers and taxpayers €35 million in pharmaceutical costs.
