Executive Summary
International standards body ISO is aiming to publish in 2012 a new standard on the recall of unsafe products1. The current thinking is that products such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices will be included in the standard2 – ISO 10393 – which will provide a code of good practice for establishing, implementing and managing efficient, flexible and responsive consumer product recall programmes, including corrective actions.
