The Communities Putting Prevention to Work initiative, introduced by the Department of Health and Human Services March 5, offers $10 million in grant funding for communities to improve nutrition and reduce smoking and obesity. National nonprofit organizations selected for CPPW will encourage preventive health and wellness in communities through cooperative agreements, HHS said.
