NACDS reorganization

This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores reorganizes its staff as the second major step in its 1,000-day plan that began in February 2007 to "refocus and realign" its activities and programs, the group announced April 30. The latest action includes eliminating 15 full-time positions, from 92 to 77 for a 16 percent cut, due in part to the economic recession, the group says. "The restructure will optimize staff resources in support of NACDS' member-service priorities, while reducing overall expenses given the state of the nation's economic environment," according to the release
