Executive Summary
The Transportation Security Administration intends to remove airline carry-on restrictions on liquids, aerosols and gels - including toothpaste and other personal care products - by fall 2009, the agency says Oct. 24. In 2010, TSA expects Advanced Technology X-Ray systems, which can differentiate between threat and non-threat liquids, to be widespread enough to negate the need for restrictions.
