A pesticide- and chemical-free lice remover, Lice Xtractor, now is available in the United States, the eponymous company announces Aug. 3. The product, which was developed by a dermatologist in Denmark, is a "vacuum combing" device containing a comb, filter, tubing and attachment mouthpiece that hooks up to a household vacuum, the firm says. Lice are extracted by the vacuum combing system, "which dislodges them from the scalp and captures them into the special filter," Lice Xtractor explains.
