In a July 19 Federal Register notice, FDA announces the Office of Management and Budget's approval to use its "Experimental Study of Trans Fat Claims on Foods" survey through June 2010. FDA submitted the proposed study for OMB's review in December 2006 following a July 2003 advance notice of proposed rulemaking requesting comments about possible fatty-acids disclosure requirements to accompany nutrient content claims (1"The Tan Sheet" Dec. 18, 2006, In Brief).
