The University of Western Sydney, Australia, announces June 15 the Australian government awarded the school a $4 mil. grant to establish a National Institute for Complementary Medicine. NICM will be designed to "build the capacity of existing complementary medicine research by connecting and coordinating research across Australia and with complementary medicine practitioners, industry partners and researchers in other fields," the university says in a release.
