Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., introduce legislation, H.R. 2596 and S. 1555, on June 6 that requires pharmacies to fill birth control prescriptions and provide OTC emergency contraception upon request. "Pharmacies shouldn't be making health decisions for women," Maloney says. "My ABC [Access to Birth Control] bill would make it illegal for a pharmacy to refuse to fill birth control prescriptions - including OTC emergency contraception - and require pharmacies to help, not hinder a woman's ability to access contraception."
