Executive Summary
Government Accountability Office will create a "Citizens' Health Care Working Group" to poll Americans - via town hall meeting and online surveys - "about whether they believe the current health care system and health care spending should be reformed, and if so, how," Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) announce Dec. 9. The "Wyden-Hatch 'Health Care that Works for All Americans' Law" was ratified by President Bush Dec. 8 as part of the omnibus appropriations bill (HR 4818).
