FDA will allow vitamin D "as a nutrient supplement in calcium-fortified fruit juices and juice drinks," according to 1Feb. 27 Federal Register notice. Minute Maid submitted data on vitamin D's metabolism properties, bioavailability and human clinical studies in requesting the food additive regs be amended.
