Online testing firm rated products based on their ability to generate allicin, the chemical most commonly associated with efficacy in non-aged garlic. Allicin yield ranged between 400 mcg and 6,500 mcg among the 13 non-aged garlic products reviewed; firm used 3,600 mcg allicin per gram of garlic as the baseline amount for therapeutic benefit - a standard met by 11 of 14 products tested.
