Executive Summary
Institute of Medicine will meet Aug. 30-31 to discuss its chaparral draft monograph, the first prototype monograph developed as part of institute's Proposed Framework for Evaluating the Safety of Dietary Supplements. Under the framework, monographs will be prepared on supplements selected for safety review to help guide further FDA action ("1The Tan Sheet" July 29, 2002, p. 4).
