FDA center should initiate a strategy to incorporate Food & Nutrition Board's work on new Daily Reference Intakes "into revisions to RDIs and DRVs," National Food Processors Association says in Sept. 20 comments on CFSAN's FY 2002 program priorities. NFPA acknowledges "this is a multi-year project but strategic planning should begin as several DRI reports are completed and the NAS/FNB report on macronutrients is expected to be released by early 2002." In separate comments, Central Soya urges FDA to establish a policy that would automatically allow a nutrient content claim for foods with an FDA-approved health claim. The company and NFPA have approached the agency on this subject and FDA "has made terrific progress in drafting a text for this proposal," Central Soya says
