NFPA acknowledges "this is a multi-year project but strategic planning should begin as several DRI reports are completed and the NAS/FNB report on macronutrients is expected to be released by early 2002." In separate comments, Central Soya urges FDA to establish a policy that would automatically allow a nutrient content claim for foods with an FDA-approved health claim. The company and NFPA have approached the agency on this subject and FDA "has made terrific progress in drafting a text for this proposal," Central Soya says
