CRN has established a working group "with an initial focus on standardizing analytical methods, quality standards and nomenclature" for fatty acids to address different market requirements faced by international suppliers of the ingredients, trade group says May 10. Specific analytical methods and related goals may be available within 12 to 18 months, CRN says; consumer education programs will follow. Roughly 20 companies that produce omega-3 fatty acids are in the group. Progress report is due out at Nutracon trade show in July
