Executive Summary
Bill codifying certain parts of DSHEA into Ohio law has passed both houses of the state legislature and is awaiting approval from Gov. Bob Taft (R), according to the office of bill co-sponsor Rep. Lynn Olman (R). The measure, HB 381, would allow supplements to carry claims as long as the statements have substantiation, are not misleading, are not drug claims, carry the DSHEA disclaimer or an equivalent and meet other provisions of DSHEA and the FD&C Act.
