Executive Summary
The risk of stroke in a group of U.S. men did not seem to be substantially reduced as a result of taking supplements of vitamin E, vitamin C and specific carotenoids, Alberto Ascherio, MD, Harvard Medical/Brigham & Women's Hospital, et al., report in the June 14 Annals of Internal Medicine. The results are from a prospective observational study of stroke in 43,438 men enrolled in the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study.
