PHARMACIST OTC RECOMMENDATION ACCEPTED BY OVER 70% OF CONSUMERS surveyed by the Retail Drug Institute of Long Island University's Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. The recently released telephone survey of more than 1,000 randomly selected consumers found 73% of respondents would "definitely" or "probably" follow a pharmacist's advice on an OTC purchase even if the product were different than, for example, a cold remedy the consumer had used for years.
