Executive Summary
OTC LABEL REG: PRIVATE LABELERS SEEK MORE TIME TO COMPLY with FDA's Feb. 27 proposed revisions to over-the-counter drug labels at an agency "feedback" meeting in Rockville, Md. Sept. 30. The Private Label Manufacturers Association, which represents over 2,500 retailers, manufacturers and distributors of store brand products, likely will ask FDA for an additional year or two to come into compliance with final requirements of the OTC drug product labeling reg. The final rule revising OTC drug labeling is expected in a year and will take effect two years after issuance.
