Lex Pharmaceutical vitamin/OTC recall: Medley, Fla.-based firm recalls 25,000 bottles of supplements and acetaminophen products at the behest of the Consumer Products Safety Commission because they do not have the required child-resistant packaging. The recalled products were packaged by Lex but some have other distributors. The products are: Multigon Junior vitamin mineral supplements for children and Duralgina acetaminophen tablets, distributed by Miami-based Menper Distributors; Cramps Out acetaminophen tablets, distributed by Efficient Labs of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Uni 1 Dose multi-vitamins with iron and Mematinic Beef-Iron and Wine supplement, distributed by Medley, Fla.-based Medley Pharmaceutical; Lexagran-M vitamins (Lex); and Supra-Vita vitamins (Carifarma Pharmaceutical, Rio Piedras, P.R.). They were sold at small pharmacies and discount drug and retail stores in Puerto Rico, New York, Florida and the southeastern U.S. states from January 1996 through June 1997.
