OTC UTI ANALGESIC AVAILABILITY RECOGNIZED BY 25% OF WOMEN in a recent survey sponsored by OTC drug and device manufacturer PolyMedica. The survey, which involved 250 women (ages 18-54) who had suffered from urinary tract infections, found that 63% of the women were "unaware" that over-the-counter UTI treatments existed and 12% were "unsure whether such products were available." Woburn, Mass.-based PolyMedica markets a number of OTC UTI remedies, including the Azo-Standard brand analgesic.
