AMBI ACQUISITION OF NUTRITION 21 FOR $10 MIL. PLUS STOCK at closing was announced as an agreement in principle June 13. Tarrytown, N.Y.-based AMBI (formerly Applied Microbiology) said the acquisition of the San Diego-based trace minerals and dietary supplements developer and marketer would help it create a presence in the dietary supplements market and build on the "foundation" initiated by the recent launch of the Cardia Salt Alternative for the dietary management of hypertension.
