JAPAN TO ALLOW RETAIL SALE OF HIGHER DOSE VITAMINS, effectively removing trade barriers to foreign companies that wish to export vitamins containing supplements into Japan, the U.S. Commerce Department announced. The regulation, issued by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare on April 1, applies to vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, E and niacin.
