Executive Summary
ENTERIC-COATED, BUFFERED, REGULAR ASPIRIN PRODUCE NEARLY EQUAL UPPER GI BLEEDING rates, researcher Judith Kelly, Boston University School of Medicine, et al., reported in a Nov. 23 Lancet article. "Our results suggest that, dose for dose, there is no substantial difference in the risk of major UGIB (upper gastrointestinal bleeding) according to the type of aspirin preparation that is used," the authors concluded.
