Executive Summary
ADVERSE EVENTS ACCOUNT FOR LESS THAN 10% OF OTC 1-800 CALLS on average, according to a Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association survey of 18 member companies. Conducted this fall, the survey involved companies marketing varying types and quantities of OTC product lines. NDMA reported the survey results at its annual Research & Scientific Development Conference held Nov. 12-13 in Washington, D.C. during a workshop entitled: "Listening to the Consumer: The Value of 1-800 Numbers."
