AHA RECOMMENDS AGAINST ANTIOXIDANT SUPPLEMENTATION on the basis of "potential hazards" and "undocumented efficacy" in an appendix to its "Dietary Guidelines for Healthy American Adults" published in the Oct. 1 edition of the American Heart Association's journal, Circulation. "Antioxidant vitamins and other nutrients" instead should "be derived from foods," the American Heart Association advised.
