CODEX UNIFORM GUIDELINES FOR DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS OPPOSED BY U.S. because of "diverse citizen and government attitudes towards the use of dietary supplements that exists in different countries and cultures," according to draft comments on the proposed international trade guidelines. The draft U.S. comments were presented by FDA Office of Special Nutritionals Director Elizabeth Yetley, PhD, at an Aug. 16 public meeting held in Washington, D.C. to receive comments on the U.S. position on Codex.
