HATCH METHAMPHETAMINE DRAFT BILL EXEMPTS "ORDINARY" OTC PSEUDOEPHEDRINE, PPA SALES by retail distributors from regulatory action intended to limit the availability of precursors to the illegal street drug. A draft version of the legislation, expected to be introduced by Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) on July 16, defines "ordinary" products as those sold in package sizes of not more than 3 g of either pseudoephedrine or PPA base.
