DIETARY SUPPLEMENT SCIENCE-BASED INFORMATION IN LABELING URGED by Peggy Borum, PhD, University of Florida at Gainesville, during her presentation at a National Institutes of Health-sponsored June 3-4 workshop entitled "The Role of Dietary Supplements for Physically Active People" . She suggested that consumer confusion "could be greatly reduced if each statement concerning supplements always defined specific parameters, which should be available from the study on which the statement is based."
