ALCOHOL-CONTAINING MOUTHWASH CONCERN "ALLEVIATED" BY EXISTING DATA, FDA's OTC Plaque Subcommittee concluded at a June 6 meeting in Gaithersburg, Md. The group unanimously agreed that "the present data, as it exists today, and the information relative to the interpretation of those studies that we heard today, do alleviate our previous concerns about the safety of those alcohol-containing mouthrinses as presently formulated."
