VITAMIN E SUPPLEMENTS NOT SHOWN TO REDUCE CORONARY HEART DISEASE MORTALITY in postmenopausal women in a study published in the May 2 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine. However, dietary intake of vitamin E was associated with reduced risk of death from coronary heart disease in the women, according to Lawrence Kushi, University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and researchers from the University of Miami, University of Pittsburgh and Wake Forest University.
