Executive Summary
DSHEA REGS SHOULD NOT REQUIRE DISCLAIMER FOR ALL STRUCTURE/FUNCTION CLAIMS, the Council for Responsible Nutrition and the Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association maintained in separate April 11 comments on the proposed DSHEA implementing regs that appeared in the Dec. 28, 1995 Federal Register. CRN asked FDA to "make it clear" in the final rule that the structure/function disclaimer under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act "is not required for well established nutritional claims."
