Executive Summary
"DIETARY SUPPLEMENT" IDENTIFIER ON PRINCIPAL DISPLAY PANEL "UNNECESSARY," the Nutritional Health Alliance said in March 11 comments to FDA. Responding to the agency's Dec. 28 proposed rule implementing the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, the comments point out that "there is limited space on the principal display panel and NHA believes that it would be confusing to consumers to relabel all products with the statement of identity, `Dietary Supplement', in addition to what the product actually contains."
