Eurand: Has developed a "taste-masked" pseudoephedrine that can be used to produce chewable, fast-melting or effervescent tablets for adult and pediatric use, the Dayton, Ohio-based firm announces Feb. 1. The product is made using Eurand's Microcaps microencapsulation technology. It will be marketed to major drug manufacturers and available on shelves by the end of 1996. Eurand currently makes taste-masked forms of NSAIDs including children's Tylenol and antihistamines, and is working on taste-masking for H2 antagonists and guaifenesin, a cough medicine ingredient...
