Executive Summary
CODEX DIETARY SUPPLEMENT GUIDELINES SHOULD COVER ONLY VITAMINS AND MINERALS, the Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association maintained in Oct. 18 comments to FDA. NDMA urged that the scope of the proposed draft guidelines be limited specifically to traditional vitamins and minerals for which substantial safety data exist. The current proposal can be read to include other products, such as herbals, according to the association.
