NIH funding: The Office of Alternative Medicine and the Office of Dietary Supplements -- components within the NIH Office of the Director -- would receive boosts in funding under a "National Fund for Health Research" introduced by Sens. Mark Hatfield (R-Ore.) and Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) Sept. 18.
