Executive Summary
GARLIC SUPPLEMENT POTENCY LABELING INFORMATION STANDARDS will be requested by the Center for Science in the Public Interest in an up-coming letter to FDA. The organization said it plans to seek labeling standards to address the fact that the wide divergence in potency among marketed garlic supplements is not currently reflected on product labeling. Potency differences were indicated in a CSPI-sponsored study on garlic supplements released July 31.
