NDAC GAINS PEDIATRIC PAIN EXPERTISE, RETAINS DERMATOLOGICAL SPECIALIST with two of the four experts FDA has invited to join the Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committee this summer. Nominee Patricia McGrath, PhD, director of the Child Health Research Institute in Ontario, has researched and written extensively on the physiology and psychology of pain in children. Outgoing panel member and NIH dermatologist Maria Chanco Turner is expected to be replaced by Lynn McKinley-Grant, MD, chief of the Dermatology Medical Services section of the Veterans Affairs Medical Hospital. In addition, Paul Roberts, MD, will remain with NDAC as the designated industry representative following his renomination.
