Executive Summary
FDA COMMUNICATION OF CONFIDENTIAL COMMERCIAL INFORMATION WITH STATES is the subject of a proposed rule published in the Jan. 27 Federal Register. The proposal would extend the provisions of a regulation governing communications with foreign governments, finalized in November 1993, to state and local government officials ("The Tan Sheet" Nov. 29, 1993, In Brief). FDA is asking that comments be submitted by April 27 on the proposed rule and is requesting that a final rule become effective on or before Feb. 27, 1995.
