AMERICAN HOME PRODUCTS LAYS OFF 300 FORMER CYANAMID EMPLOYEES in the first wave of cutbacks following completion of the company's acquisition of Lederle parent, American Cyanamid ("The Tan Sheet" Aug. 22, p. 7). AHP announced Nov. 29 that two-thirds of the cutbacks will come from Cyanamid's Wayne, N.J. headquarters, which has total employs 1,800. Other cutbacks will come from Cyanamid's D.C. office, the Davis & Geck facility in Danbury, Conn. and other locations, AHP said.
