Executive Summary
FDA is sponsoring a Nov. 9-10 public hearing on how best to implement a surveillance system to track bacterial resistance to human and animal antimicrobial agents. FDA's Anti-Infective Drugs and Veterinary Medicine Advisory Committees have previously recommended improved surveillance through a cooperative effort involving government, academia and industry.
