Streamlining retail shipment and payment programs in an effort to clean up the supply chain and cut costs. The program simplifies pricing, standardizes ordering and reduces overall logistical complexities for P&G and its customers, the firm said. For example, instead of four or five different pricing formulas for each category, the firm will offer two basic pricing tiers for all categories. Payments will be based entirely on quantity ordered. Retailers can also choose to receive a variety of brands from different product categories on one truck requiring only invoice and one set of payment terms. Terms will include a 2% discount on orders paid within 19 days on all categories except cosmetics and fragrances. P&G is in the process of introducing the program to retailers
