HOME-USE HIV SAMPLE COLLECTION SYSTEM PILOT STUDIES ADVOCATED by members of FDA's Blood Products Advisory Panel at a June 22 meeting in Gaithersburg, Md. Several members of the 19-person panel advocated pilot studies to assess the public health impact of home-use sample collection kits used for HIV screening. The panel, consisting of 12 voting members and seven "temporary" voting members, was not asked to take any votes on issues raised at the meeting.
